I learned to Crochet today! Here's my very first granny square. I just watched a few videos on youtube, and followed along. I am going to see how many squares I can make with the 3 skeins of yarn I got today...maybe even enough for a small blanket.

BEAUTIFUL! Just wait, before you know it you will be making beautiful hats and scarfs and when you are really adventurous, you can crack in to the thread crochet and make doilies and bookmarks and such. Old craft that is coming back! I love it! I am making what they call "bookmark thongs" right now for all of my camp leaders! Lots of fun and really easy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alice, I'm excited too. Pat gave me all of Grandma Mary's hooks... she did have the tiny doily hooks too, so maybe that will be something I tackle in a few years, lol! I made 4 squares total last night, but I'm getting a cramp in my thumb, hahaha.
